How do I recognize a 914/6 tranny?

I have 2 914 trannies and can't read the serial numbers on the bottom. One has a side cover with a 911 part number and the other has a 914 part number. Is the 911 one a 914/6 tranny? Any other distinguishing features?

Throttle bell crank from intermediate plate is a good indicator,the hole or the rod sticking out,base 914's don't have this,otherwise i don't know the case numbers.

what do you mean by "side cover" ?

Side cover is on the left......behind the flange for the inner CV joint.
