How do I recognize a 914/6 tranny?
I have 2 914 trannies and can't read the serial numbers on the bottom. One has a side cover with a 911 part number and the other has a 914 part number. Is the 911 one a 914/6 tranny? Any other distinguishing features?

the original 914-6 transmission has a little plattform with the transmission number stamped on it:

Throttle bell crank from intermediate plate is a good indicator, the hole or the rod sticking out, base 914's don't have this, otherwise i don't know the case numbers.
