Check out the Guard Transmission torque sensing (torsen) differential. I've heard better things about this diff than the Quaife.
That's what I'm installing in my 3.2 six conversion You can always contact Rich Johnson www.a914guy@aol.com for info. Regards,

You should do a net search on the so-called "Phantom Grip" diff which is often seen in the import car scene. They are on ebay all the time for Asian cars.
Check out the pricing of a Phantom Grip and the language of their description and then compare it to the GT diff. Let me know what you think.

Thanks for the info guys. I've decided to look for a ZF instead of a Quaife buy I'll try to research this Phantom Grip that you speak of.

Too much Rice. I feel full. But I'll probably be hungry in a few hours again.
I reviewed the "phantom grip" site. I wasn't impressed at all. No applications for a 914 unless you are running a 915 transmission. For $349, I suspect the quality would not handle the demands of a powerful six cylinder 911 engine.

This has nothing to do with "Rice." My point wasn't about the quality of the unit but rather that it seems to get "marked up" quite a bit depending on who sells it and to which segment of the car industry it is marketed.
And, for what it's worth, I can think of plenty of Asian engines that put out a lot more power than many 911's both in terms of specific output and max hp & torque. Not that I don't love the 911 engine... but there have been some powerful cars from Asia over the years. Lately, the power of all but the 993 and newer models seems to be available every where you look. My brother has a dam*ed Del Sol that makes 100hp/liter bone stock and it's normally aspirated!
