Looking for an injected 2.0 longblock
Something better than a core, but not new to go in my busted car.
I have a core motor for trade also, GA, great box, bad cam. Thanks Miles

I think a fuel injected longblock is a contradiction.
Isn't a longblock the motor minus the induction and ignition circuitry? Are you looking for a motor with injection components? or just a longblock with the internals that support an injection system (i.e., FI cam)? Oh... I can't help you, I am just being a jerk and criticizing your ad... what fun! Hee hee! Karl

I'm in Roswell, Ga just north of Atlanta, and have a core 2.0 with most of the FI still on it. I also have a 0 hour 1.7 on my engine run-up stand now. My rebuilt 1.7's run very strong as I have been told by previous purchasers. This one has rebuilt heads and I always port the exhaust side . $750 as a long block. Come by and hear it run. I can build you anything. I've got a new set of euro 1.8 pistons (domed not dished)anda set of 1.8 heads that we had built for our "E" production race car. Never used with duel springs and big exhaust ports. I even have a set of 2.0 big valve heads. In other words I've got just about any configuration of Type IV engine you could want ....need to clean house will sell cheap!

Fuel Injected Longblock is correct lingo
There's nothing wrong with a "Fuel Injected Long Block". It simply means that you are looking for a Long Block (i.e., engine + heads) that has Fuel Injection System installed.
As Karl States: Isn't a longblock the motor minus the induction and ignition circuitry? WRONG! A long block is an engine with the heads vs. a short block which is just the engine block & internals. You can certainly ad a fuel injection system to it. My car has a fuel injected long block in it. Yes, the longblock has had some parts added to it - but the basic motor is still a long block - but I'm keeping it. Karl say he's just being a "smart ass" - now, isn't that an oxymoron. Dumbass would be more accurate. |

Tidybowl -
If you look in past messages, you'll see that Miles and I occasionally tease each other. But you're just being an A$$! When you buy a long block, you buy the engine with everything between the valve covers, but no accessories. When you buy a long block with accessores and fuel injection, then it would be a complete engine. I can see a rebuttal forming already in your mind. Who cares. It's a matter of symantics at this point. Point is, I was just messing with Miles. And I was really just asking for clarification from his post fpr others that could help. Was he looking for a long block with a fuel injected cam in it or a longblock PLUS injection components? He answered the question.
