I don't think they're too large for a 3.0L. They're a little larger than optimal, but I don't think you'd lose HP, you might even gain a few. They're probably most beneficial on a 3.2L or larger engine. There's nothing with the heat exchangers that causes my sale. My car hasn't run for a number of years, since before I purchased the exchangers, and I'm moving to Florida in the next few months, so I won't really have much use for heat, and don't feel like moving them. I've only pulled one of them out of the box. Quality looks good, but I've heard people who say they're tough to install. Thanks, Adam |

No job as of yet, I was really hoping to start my own automotive business, but the deal I was working out on property fell through. Other fish in the sea, I just gotta find them. Yetis, I just snapped a few pictures, let me know if you want more, any specific detail shots, etc. I love the Irish Green, and I know at least here in the US that rear window defroster is pretty rare. Very nice car you have there. If I were going to add another 914-6 to the collection, an Irish Green one like yours would be at the top of the list. Thanks, Adam |

Hi Adam
well just a few pics of the one who was taken out of box. Nothing special I guess - maybe the box with indicated the seize/ID. Thanks for the compliment of the car - I bought it nearly 10 years ago from the USA. Now it has a 3.0 engine with carbs, 915 short gearbox with LSD, 930 brakes etc. Well a few things to finish yet ![]() ![]() I do not know why but I have changed to rear window defroster right the car was here. I have never used or need it - I do not know if it is very rare. Shall I look for one ![]() Also I love my rims, 6" and 7" with 205/50 and 225/50 tires. Great combination! Let me know if you have the information and pics ready. Thanks Alex |

Hi Alex,
Here are shipping prices: $126 for Parcel Post which takes 4-10 days $144 for EMS which takes 3-5 days. I measured the tubes @ 38mm ID which corresponds to the 1 5/8" tubing. |

Hi Adam,
sounds good - shipping is reasonable. First I thought 1 5/8 is already the ID. What was the standard ID of original engine. Was it 35mm? I think I have a bit larger ID (and it works good - also a lot of torque) but let me check first. Thanks Alex |

I think the stock HE's might have been 35mm. According to Patrick, their 1 1/2 headers and HE's are 35mm ID, 1 5/8 = 38mm ID, etc. I'm not sure if that's a standard convention in the Porsche world, but I went out and measured my stock HEs that are hanging out in the garage last night, just to make sure I was measuring right. The B&Bs are definitely at least 3mm larger than the stock HE's. Thanks, Adam |
