john, that cover is type specific for the type of plate on the lower firewall where the shift rod enters the car, and if an early car has been coverted to s.s. the hole the rod passes through in the cover is in the wrong place due to the offset/ pivot point. the diff is apparent with early on the left and a late on the right. if you should ever be driving down 512 on a sat stop by. do you do the puyallup shows?

Hi Kevin,
If I understand you correctly this may not work for me. It looks like the same shape as what is on the bulkhead (roughly oval), but I will be using a side shifter. Do the two not mix? Do I need to make modifications? I don't do the swaps at Puyallup anymore, but I usually show up looking for bargains. I'm limiting swap activity to the VW Vintage Meet which is a mile from my home. A lot of work unloading and loading junk! Thanks for the invitation, I'll do that if I'm going to be in the area....I'm pretty much a hermit though.
