924 questions

I was talking to this girl I just met and she mentions her dad has an old porsche 924 and Im like "oh?". She tells me that her mom wants her father to get rid of it. Consiquently I offered to take it off his hands. Right now he is thinking about it, but Im wondering what 924 parts can be used in my 944. I dont know what year the 924 is though. Ill find that info out later. But hey, who cares about the year when you are going to get it for free?

Anyways the car doesnt work so Ill need it to be towed unless I can get the sucker to run. Im trying to descide what to do with it. Either fix it up unless its going to be a money pit, keep it to use for my car, part it out, or sell it whole. Any suggestions on things I should do?

Yeah I didnt think I could use much of anything because my 944 is 85 1/2. I could use the rims though or I could just sell the car and get some $ to put stuff in my 944.

Short answer is, there are few parts in common between the 924 and the 944. Interior parts were common between the 924 and the series 1 944 (83 - 85-1).

If yo can pick it up cheap, go for it, if it is well maintained, they are a fun little car to drive. can be a nightmare if the FI system is messed up - some parts cost more than what the car is worth.

Im guessing u dont like brits... good thing for me im as british as you are. refer to under my avatar im from a group of islands off the coast of Australia called New Zealand (<-- clarifying as a few Americans Ive met on the net think thats in Canada). We just lost the cup to a millionaire from a land-locked country. And if you're buying i like my beer ice cold served in a chilled glass and make it a steiny or if its off-payweek i'll have a speights
In my part of the world a hood is attached to a jacket or sweater, usually sown; or is an abbreviation of 'hoodlum,' something i like to call boy racers You've lost me on the fags bit, i call them ciggy's

WHAT DO YOU WANT A 924 FOR? They have SOME balls, but they DRAG! Yes, they do have the good aerodynamics and handling as the 944's and 924s are known for, but they lack some cahone's!
the 944 was built because the 924 had a bad rap and it needed some balls. Do as you please man! YES, I HAVE A 924! a 924S!!!!!!!, lol
