944 Trans line

I have a 1986 Porsche 944 n/a automatic. I need to remove one of the trans lines, I have everything disconnected but cannot seem to get the line out. Has anyone done this before? Does anyone have any tips to remove it?

Many times hardlines with flare or compression ring fittings have a difficult time separating from their mate.

They will deform enough to stick a bit. Eventually you may have to replace the fitting itself.

Is there a simple way to just replace the front rubber section, without replacing the whole hard line?

Hope you have resolved this issue. If not, post a photo, we may be able to offer some advice.

I have a 944 Auto Trans Line here I am refitting a new hose, but it is the high pressure side and must be crimped.

Here is the old Trans line that is leaking and needs to be Re-Hosed....

For anyone needing a replacement, I am told these are NLA from Porsche.

I can Re-Hose this for under $50.

I ran a 944 Automatic for years. The trans line starting weeping near the exhaust manifold. It is a single barb type of connection.

I used a dremel to remove the crimp collars and the old rubber line between the hardline and radiator on both the high pressure and return side. I replaced with standard rubber trans line and used hose clamps. Never had a problem.

Edit: I did this without removing the hardline
