Ok. I am finialy ready to buy a 951 and have a check list written up. Is there anything to add, or not to worry about on this list. Also, can 17" or 18" rims fit on the 86' model or do you need an adapter? Thank you.

1. belts
2. hoses
3. water pump
4. turbo
5. head leak?
6. engine seals leak?
7 sunroof leak?
8. accedent?
9. rust
10. brakes
11. shocks
12. tires

Everybody stand back! i'm about to join the club.

add exhaust manifold and engine mounts

18" wheels not recommended by the manufacturer. Unless the wheels/tires are in terrible shape, upgrading is very expensive.

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but you
still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs.

A pre-purchase inspection should be mandatory.
Make sure you ask how many miles are on the clutch. Clutches typically only last about 80k miles on a Turbo.
These cars are also prone to have electrical gremlins, so make sure all the power accessories work. The cruise control in particular is very common to be non-functional.
