Please help My 944 HELP!

Just bouhgt a 88 944, it looked like the dreamcar I Wanted in perfect condition. Took it out on a hot day and it seemed to have leaked some coolant and was overheating about 3/4th the way up. I checked all the tubing everythings fine. So that weekend I drained the coolant, put in Radiator cleaner and water in for the rest and it says to drie it for 3 to 6 hous intermettely. Put in clean oil, new oil filter, new bosch 4+1 spark plugs. I took it out and in about a min to 2 it was heated up halfway. it didn;'t stop there started getting hotter and went to 3/4th. I tried to turn on heat and I noticed that no longer operated. i quickly went to go pull over in a park and by then it was a little past 3/4th and getting hotter. I stopped and quickly opened hood and quite alot of white smoke was comming out by the exhaust manifold and the block. Also noticed the engien fans no lonegr worked and they have before all the time. I waited 10 misn and quickly droe iot home by then on my block it was sjut as high againb
i just put it in neutral and pushed it down. That time no smoke came out. After about 10-15 mins of it being off the engine was still extremely burning and about halfway up on the gauge. Does anyone have a clue what's wrong, hopefully it's good news. thanks guys. I will be crying in the bathroom now about my car.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

You blew the head gasket................

BUT its not that bad to change if you are mechanically inclined...

Holllllllllllllllllllldddd on................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! STOP THE PRESSES

Just reading your post again................... you probably burst a hose!!!!!

Take a look at the rail right above the exhaust manifold. Fill the car up with water/coolant once its cool...........start it and watch for the leak....

Sorry to scare you...I thought the white smoke was coming out of the exhaust........ ooooopss

- Your fans will not turn on if you don't have enough coolant in the system. The temp sensor will not trigger the fan. Also you will get no heat in the car..

Dont drive it when its overheating...........cause you will need a new headgasket if you do that!!!

Refill with coolant and find the leak. leaking hose is easy to fix. I am guessing that if the temp guage only went to 3/4 you did not blow the head gasket.

AE is right on though dont drive it untill its fixed. You will blow the head gasket.

actually, the best case scenario would be to have your wife buy you a turbo surprise!!
