Slow starter

Need some help. My car starts very slow. When i turn the key the engine barely turns over then shuts off. Then i turn the key again and it slowly turns until it starts.

The alternator is working properly and I've got a new battery.

When i do turn the engine over, the power to the radio appears to be disconnected but the power to car clock remains connected.

I would check your connections at the battery and at the starter first, but sounds like the starter is about to weld itself so it won't turn at all. A loose connection can be the culprit, but my guess is you will be either replacing or having your starter rebuilt soon.

I forgot to included that the starter was rebuilt @ 8 months ago.
