Alright, here's how it went. I finally got to drive in my first autoX (YAY). I had planned on a DNF on at least half of my runs...good news is that I only had one DNF
I tend to like to find my limits, so I figured I would spin at least twice...I only spun once SO...one DNF, one spin, and quite a few pretty nice drifts (the drifts were the most fun ). Since this was my first autoX, I had planned on getting SMOKED by everybody...instead, I did quite a bit of smoking myself (in more than one way, I'll explain later on). I had beaten quite a few cars I didn't think I would be able to. Sadly enough though, I was the only Porsche there However, I started looking at the charts from the autoXs that took place earlier this summer and I notice that there was a newer 911 and an older (it had fuchs) that had run in the last one (same track). Sadly enough, I had beaten them both by almost 10 seconds, and both of the guys were more experienced than I I ran the best novice time as far as I know, just too bad all the M3s, majority of the vettes, and quite a few other cars showed me what a car is supposed to look like out there. Now, for the bad news. You all konw that I have just spent a fair amount of money to get a newer engine for my car. Well, it SMOKES worse than a chimney. Not just any color of smoke, BLUE smoke. So, my supposedly 70,000 mile engine is burning A LOT of oil and I"m not too happy about it.
