It's Tabor. I don't know if you remember me. You can pick up a COMPLETE (enerything you would need, all the accessories) 944 engine for $500.00. You can get a 2.7L 1989 944 engine complete for 800-1,000. This is what I would do if I were you. 165HP stock. -Tabor |

My wife has a 924S and I recently picked up a 944. I really like the way they drive. My question is this; since the 924 engine is supposedly an Audi engine and Audi and Volkswagen have similar engines, how difficult would it be to fit a 2.0 16v GTI motor into a 924? They are a bit easier to modify simply based on parts availability for GTIs vs. 924s. Opinions?
By the way Obin, I'm in Rochester (yes, NY). One shop I strongly recommend is Kurt's Garage in Rochester, (716) 266-4992. They're my shop of choice and are Bosch certified. Another shop that I've been pointed toward for Porsche work is Eksten Autoworks on Bennington Drive in Rochester, (716) 621-8200. Hey Gorgo you'de be suprised that the AMC was produced in america for Gremlins first, and tehn VW bought it back from them, anyway, about your volvo, you got a "k" cam in it?
Allowed to in the rally rules? If not get one in, makes about 12 HP compared to some of the cams in the 240s. Also is it a B23? or a B21? [This message has been edited by AMCPorsche924Powerhaus! (edited 05-15-2001).] |
