engine swap
has anybody ever put a 944 turbo engine on a 944 n/a? I am asking cause i can get my hands on a 944 turbo motor and tranny for about nothing. tryed to find a 951 with blown motor for sale but cant find one.

this is just a guess but it should fit fine provided the motor mounts are in the same place, and you have a turbo nose to fit your intercooler. the wiring would be the tricky part.

Get it. The intercooler mounting may need some modification/fabrication. The driver's side motor mount-to-engine will need to be used as it has the oil return line built into it.You can also use boost controllers such as Greddy or Apex'i, a knock retard system such as J&S if you don't change to 951 wiring/DME. Also the 951 injectors will not work with n/a DME system, you will need larger low impendence injectors or AIC system. If you can, get the suspension/brakes as well as the fuel pump.
