turn signals
I swapped steering wheels (from my 924s parts car to my '86 944) and now my turn signals don't shut off after a turn. It makes the clicks like it should, but it doesn't turn off. Is there something I can adjust, or are the wheels incompatible (they look identical)?

Burn the fire.

You're missing the return piece on the bottom of the wheel. You'll see it as part of a cylindricalpiece on the bottom that sticks out... that's the reset thingie.

Could also be the wrong canceller/finger thingy. Think there is a difference between the old 944 and the new. You should be able to swap them.

Gentlemen, thanks for your responses. It was indeed the protrusion. SoCal, you are correct, the protrusion is 180 degrees off between the '87 and '86. I swapped mine from wheel to wheel, but suspect that they could just be turned 180 degrees and the wheels would switch from new to old style (there is even another hole for the horn lead to fit through).
