I would prefer this thread didn't get lost. If anyone has new info on Britwrench, please let us know. I wish him all the best for a complete recovery and he remains in my prayers.

Anyone taking the initiative to set up something so we can contribute to a gift? it seems like plenty of people are willing to throw a few $ in, just nobody willing to collect and send something.

Best wishes for a quick recovery Mark!

Just got off the phone with ronin.

Mark is out of ICU. He is conscious, but still on quite a bit of pain medication (which keeps him doped up) and oxygen. It is expected to take some time (at least another month), but he is expected to make a full recovery.

Check your paypal account.

Let us know how much you get, and we'll all decide on what to send him.

okay i just got back from visiting mark. he's out of ICU but he still can not remember things and has a feeding tube connected through his nose. he doesn't know where he is (he thinks he's in a hotel) and constantly wants to try to get out of there. he also gets easily agitated so long visits aren't a good idea. he should make a full recovery but will need to go through the whole rehabilitation process.

originally i was going to take pictures for everybody but i don't think it would be such a good idea due to the condition he's in.

i did get to meet ellie and his mother who flew over from england to be with him. she's a very sweet and humorous woman so now i know where mark got his sense of humor from.

cards are welcome and you can send them to:

mark peters
c/o Harborview Medical Center
325 Ninth Avenue
Seattle, WA 98104 - 2420

he can't read yet (they expect he will be able to soon though) so it might be a good idea to send him cards with pictures to help him remember things. maybe photos of you and your cars would be good.

i'll post a seperate message with the paypal tally.

Talked to his nurse this morning, Mark is doing better, physically. Has very little pain. Was at physical therapy when I called; she said he is progressing but isn't all there yet mentally, so recommended visitors to come next week. I'm looking to visit him as soon as she feels he is up for it, will keep the board posted.

Send a message via ICQ to ae1969

It would also be nice for everyone to send a card to Mark and his family.

I am pretty sure his family has no idea how he has touched and become part of our family.

Our prayers are with you.
