Finally a cupholder!
One of my biggest gripes abt my 944 has been solved.
http://944online.com/images/PB220011.jpg Too bad the prices are ridiculous. Costs 50 bucks. I guess I can still live with never having an open drink container in my car. Anyone interested in a group buy?

Bad location
horrible design even worse price tag I'd never "Americanize" such a classy car. Leave it to the teenage chicks in their trash-filled Cavaliers with CDs & Coke cans all over the floor.

I don't know about you guys, but in my car, even with the cupholder, the drink would still spill.
This is a sports car, not a limo.. However, it's a different story in my maxima, I always get pissed off because the cup holders are too small to hold anything of signifigance. |

I have thought about a cupholder a few times.....just not real practical.
I too would terribly miss the armrest. Most car manufacturers do not seem to realize that we actually put our arm here when we drive. My girls 5y/o SUV has one that is cracking just like all of ours. What someone really needs to come up with is a titanium armrest with supple leather cover that never needs replacing....THAT, I would pay $50 bucks for!

If you have to have a drink along, why don't you get a soda in a bottle with a cap. Just put it between the seat and the door over the parking brake. Past that, you shouldn't be drinking and driving.

I have already gotten used jamming a bottle of some sort in between the seats or something but there have been many times where I just really wanted a cup of coffee while on a long drive.

The bottle flys out and wedges itself under the clutch pedal......really happened once.

I've always thought about making a custom armrest thingy and leaving two cutouts in it for cupholders. I'll post it if I get around to trying it...I'll sell it cheap too...lol

For most of P-car owners, drilling holes in the car is a big NO-NO, but for those that feel relaxed about modifying a car, here's a fair location for a cup holder:

I don't know about late 944; take a ruler and check against a cupholder you're considering. Yes, drilling is required, so this is not a solution for everybody. You can gain access to tighten the nuts after removing the glove compartment (in early 944).
