Eventful Day...Drove the 951 110, almost got arrested

Well...Its been an eventful day..

My wife and I own an advertising agency. She was at a local restaurant who is a client.

So the guys giving her a real hard time, she calls me and asks if we can drop him as a client. I say sure.

About 15 min later, she calls me crying...The Mother F***R smacked her and is harrasing her...

So I jump in the car down the interstate like a bat out of hell... On one phone I have her, and on another speakerphone I have the police. We talking about what is happening and where Im at and what im driving to get there....I get a police escort on the way there(about a mile away), hit 110mph. I told the 911 operator I wouldnt stop untill someone got there and she said she told the officers. ( i wouldnt have puched it so hard if the police here were not so slow)

So I beat the other cops inside...Jump out of the car and run in (about 10 min later, it was a 25 miles away) I get into it with the guy and they arrest him and almost take me to jail too. But the cops are understanding and dont. They did realy like the car though.

So now we have to go see the midnight magistrate so they can keep the A-hole overnight. Bad thing is they said he can take complaint out on me for "Threating to Kick his Ass" Then hitting him. The officer said it wasnt likly though.

Man im still so mad i can barely sit still.

Nice drive though. Not often you get an escort over 100....

It was a Jappanese Steakhouse. I couldnt catch him real good around the damn islands thay cook on. Got one little one in though. By then the cops had come in.
Poor people having lunch! lol

The magistrate said he cant prss charges on me:-)

I normally don't like the idea of law suits (the whole bad karma thing)........
but if someone touched my wife I would go postal.

Let this jerk have it where it will hurt him the most......

Shes ok...Thanks. She was more shaken up than anything. She almost pepper sprayed him but couldnt reach it.

I still just cant belive some people.

That aside, I presumed from the thread title, that you almost got arrested FOR going 110 =)

Sorry to hear about that, hope you and your wife are ok. But i have to say, over here in Holland there is NO way that you'll ever get an escort for something like that. Most likely the police will enter the restaurant and settle it all and MAYBE, maybe you can issue some sort of legal thing against him, but you wouldn't get a lot out of it. Over here, the legal system is pretty f'ed up. You can do quite a lot before you end up or get a fine... but if you're going a couple of miles to fast on the highway, you'll get a fine for sure.

Therefore it's a good thing you have such a support from your police over there, it would NEVER have happened over here.

About the 110 thing... I don't know if you noticed, but around that speed the car is a bit unstable. When i hit 200km/h a while ago i noticed a lot of vibration caused by the air speed. Now, when i pushed the car to about 250 km/h (165mph) the vibration disappeared completly and when i hit the speed of about 270km/h (fastest i've ever gone in that car) the car was EXTREMLY smooth. Really, it was like riding an air ship, pretty loud, but extremly stable and very controlable.

I'm not advising you to travel at these speeds, but i can tell you a 951 is capable of doing it and it's actually pretty comfortable. Oh.. and coming back to the police thing, driving at 270km/h is completly legal over in germany, so that's nice too

At a minimum you have a small claims case. (usually 3-5k max) Smacking your wife in public ? Bad move. Instant loss.

The question is how much pain and suffering, or damages... loss of buisness, ect... can get to. Or, just the fact of being assaulted.

No idea what the limit would be if an attorney got involved in it. Can't hurt to call a local crook (I mean lawyer) and ask. They will tell you right off the bat if its worth your time.

Only reason I am so for it is he needs to learn his lesson. Thats crap.

Speaking of crap.... 110? Was this in traffic? Sheesh...

It's my belief that this guy deserves anything that comes his way as a result of his actions. (Be it lawsuits and/or jail time.)

Given the situation, I don't know that I could have kept as cool as you (mambodave) did.

Yep...rush hour traffic. There wa no way i was stoping till the 911 operator told me that the police had arrived. I would have taken a ticket or whatever.

Whoa. That’s one heck of a story. You must have had a very Terminator-esque look on your face while heading towards your wife. Who was this idiot, anyways? Was he drinking or something? I do know that it takes a LOT to want to hit someone unless there’s alcohol and/or serious mental issues involved. Did she give you an idea of their dialogue right before this happened?

Do whatever you can to make him pay for it – women beaters are below whale waste on the ecological chain. Kudos for coming to your wife’s aid in time.

Its a chain restautant. and we deal with the other locations He was the owner!!!!. He was upset because we wouldnt come down off of our rates or split it into payments. He was ranting about how everyone is taking all his money. She said she couldnt do anything for him, then started packing up to leave. He demanded she let him finish. He was getting angrier so she stepped back to walk out, then him smacked her.

When the cops got there he actually admited he did it, as if they would understand. His exact words were" The ***** interupeted me so i hit her"

SPoke with an attorney. They said theres technically a case, but it would cost more to pursure it than can be recovered. But to make sure he goes through the court process for the Assault.

Speak to another attorney. If the a-hole is charged with assault there is definately a case. Make sure you get a listing of all of his assests. I wouldn't want you to miss a thing.

If it's under $5k, then it's small claims, and you don't need an attorney. If you're looking for more, than most-all of them should work on a percentage basis anyways, so it will never exceed the amount you receive.
