924GT clone
Grand Prix White! Should I build another and this time build it with a turbo? I've just completed a slant conversion with my '86 Carrera and I want to start another project. Yea, I've got this huge void between my ears and I do know the brain damage that will insue. But damn, it sure woud be a one off ride. BTW- Afj, if your out there I'll see you Sat. AM at the Craker Barrel. Steve E

Is that a 924S or standard 924?
One nice about the 931 (924 Turbo) as a base is you have the correct header panel with the 4 vents.

Thanks guys!
Eric & Z-man More pics attached. Some were when I had C2 rims and some are with a set of polished Fuchs.
![]() ![]() ![]() checkermel- I've got a correct header panel at the shop for this project. Nice catch! Dallas- What's on your mind? Everyone- I'll be starting this project just as soon as I can sell my latest one. It's an all steel slant conversion that I've done on my '86 Carrera. The car will be posted here early nexy month (April '06). The Carrera has all the hotrod goodies and now she looks as fast as she is. Thanks for all the interest and feed back too. All the best, Steve E

Who makes the front clip, is that a factory piece or fiberglass replica? Fitment decent?

Front clip
Duck,
I've got to give Hank at GT Racing all the credit for the front clip, hood scoop and flares. He also supplied the f/g for the 911 RSR we took to the 2004 LeMans Classic. The attached pictures are of the car at LeMans, just after we took a 3rd place trophy which was presented by Phil Hill. The 911 picture is on the back cover of GT Racing latest catalogue and the other is with Mr. Hill.

Looks great, if i decided to keep this car for the long haul, was thinking of a euro bumper, turbo front end or doing something uncommon like the Carrera GT front bumper.
Those white Fuch's are also awsome..love the deep dish in the back.

I say build another - With boost and stroked.
Either a 944 2.5 punched out to 2.7 or a 924 Turbo 2.0 punched to 2.3. The 2.7 would give you more bang for the buck as far as max power - basically start with a 944 turbo - toss turbo and use a centrifugal like the procharger - good up to 30 PSI, so more boost that the motor can take. The 2.3 would be non-interference and cheap to repair and maintain.. plus timing belt failure ceases to be an issue. 2.3 done right can yield over 300 hp even the 2.0 can make over 300. Plus very cool. More inline with the Carrera GT- GTR. I know a few guys overseas put down over 300 and one here in florida... from a 2.0. Well actually over 400 and its all buisness.
