Upgrading calipers what fits

I have a 88 944 n/a, I am racing it and converting the brakes. For the front I know I need updated spindles but what about for the rear, looks like my rotors are almost the same size as a turbo or S2, will the caliper fit my hubs. Also, what about 968 calipers (not mo30) do they look the same as a S2 or turbo?? Thanks in advance

Here's some reading for ya.
http://www.944s2.com/default.htm go to brakes

also thread: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showthread.php?threadid=285752

Most of the Spec 944 racers are using plaid Blue pads and blue brake fluid with some routed air duct for the Front Rotors.

Also this adapter can element the need for different Spindal

The front you can either go with the 4-piston turbo calipers or the 928S4 calipers (AKA the Big Reds / Blacks). Turbo 4-piston calipers will bolt right up to the rear, however you need to change the rotors.

The non-M030 968 calipers are the same exact ones on the regular 944 Turbo from '86-88 (basically any non Turbo S car). M030 968 calipers are the same fronts as the 928S4...all M030 and Turbo S cars used the same rear calipers as the regular 944 Turbo's.

Front calipers will require late 944 Turbo spindles, anything from '87+ including any 968. M030 spindles will set you back about $800 if you want to use the S4 calipers, they make adapters (which is acceptable to most) to fit the S4 calipers onto the regular turbo spindle.

BTW, i would NOT use an adapter to fit a turbo caliper onto a regular 944 spindle. The n/a cars have a really flimsy spindle.
