Shift linkage and transaxle help

I'm removing my transmission and I can't seem to get the shift linkage to separate at the transaxle where it's supposed to. I've beaten it with a hammer to try and loosen it and I sprayed PB blaster on it but it just won't budge. Anyone else every have this same problem and have any advice? I'm thinking about using a torch to heat it up but that's always a last resort for me.

There is a bolt in the yellow circle that you need to remove.
Push back the rubber boot and you will see it.
Normally this bolt is secured with a wire to keep it from backing out.
That is basically the only bolt in the rear linkage that you need to remove.
