wierd window electrical issue

I have an 85 Porsche 944 with an electrical issue.

The passenger window won't roll up. The driver window rolls up and down fine.

Every time I attempt to hit the passenger window button (on either side of the car... driver or passenger) it blows the small little 30 fuse.

I analyzed the working window's button switch (the part that connects to the door) and with my volt meter noticed there were TWO hot pairs of wires. sweeet.

(I'll call the wire pairs x1 x2 and y1 y2)

I did the same test on the broken window's button switch on the driver's side, and only one hot pair. (x1 x2)

THEN
On the PASSENGER's window button, it didn't have the same hot pair as the driver's-side passenger window button, it had the other hot pair.(y1 y2)

Now if I could only get both doors to talk to each other, it would be like having a complete passenger-window button.

So where is the disconnect?

Is this related to the bigger Electric Window Relay, the one that looks like a 2-inch tall square block (which sits in the same place with the fuses?

what to do?

ok update, so I made 2 super long wires and connected the hot leads y1 y2 into the driver's side passenger button. I was able to roll the window of the passenger side up no problem. This solves the immediate problem of someone robbing stuff from my car.

whats the real solution so that the windows work properly again?

The power for the passenger side window goes first to the drivers door thru the drivers side switch for the pass. window then back out of the drivers door under the dash and over to the pass. side door and to the switch over there. On my car there was a problem in the wiring where it passes thru from the drivers door back to the chassis and the rubber boot was displaced and a wire had worn thru and was shorting out and actually had been severed. I had to replace a length of wire running from in the drivers door to somewhere by over the hood opening handle and since then its worked fine. Check out the connection from the left door to the right door. problems probably there. I'll post a wiring diagram if I find it
