I think im missing something..
so i lost my power stearing belt the other day. When i got under the car i noticed the pump was wobbly. I can see a all thread bolt that seems to be missing a nut of some sort. anyone have knowledge of size of what goes here?
Its a C shape mounting hole that this post runs thru on the front side of the pump.

Common problem...
Sounds like you are missing the metal sleeve that goes inside the "c shaped" mounting tab, and the front nut that goes on the stud. Let me dig up a picture to make sure were talking about the right section, then I can gie you measurements of the sleeve. -Nick

So your mount looks like the first picture here correct.
![]() ![]() If so, I will measure the sleeve and post back later on this evening. Hope it helps! -Nick

You could order it from Pelican.....
Or, I can just turn one down in the lathe? It's just turned steel bar stock with a centered hole.

The sleeve is a snug press fit inside the mounting tab, over the threaded stud (the sleeve is not threaded). There is then a waser and nut that holds the assembly together. I have turned down a couple of these sleeves for a couple of local guys. They can be made for less than the shipping charge to mail it priority!
I keep meaning to turn out a whole bunch of them some day on the lathe, as it seems it is happening to alot off people on the board, but I've been busy in my spare time welding up the test stand for the engine dyno. It only takes a few minutes to spin one down.

The pump can stay in place.
If you spray the inside of the mounting tab real well with brake cleaner to remove the grease, the sleeve will press in with hand force enough to expose the front of the stud. From there, put on the washer, some loctite, and run the nut down. I have a client stopping by the shop in a few minutes, but I will get one turned down tomorrow morning, and should have it in the mail to you by the weekend. PM me your mailing address. -Nick
