Unhappy front end damage.

hello everyone, i recently wiped out my baby on the F.D.R drive in manhattan, i just can't believe i did'nt total the whole car.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/eek.gif I was driving north bound just past the 59th bridge area by the hospitals( for those who know the area) when i started to change lanes (mind you it was raining) and the car just went out on me, i did a 360 at about 40-50mph and i did'nt hit anyone and no one touched me, almost came out of the 360 fine, but managed to kiss the wall with my right front fender. the overall incident could have been disasterous. but i guess someone upstairs was looking over me that day(before thanksgiving day,i know go figure) so i'm looking for both fenders and the front piece where the emblem goes for the right price and not immediately, the holidays are upon us and to top things off i was let go from my crappy job not too long ago. ( i'm not looking for sympathy, just a break on some parts you might have lying around) i in exchange have some parts YOU might be looking for I.E. rear glass side glass and a whole bunch of misc. parts what ever you can do will definitely help me get by. thanks to all and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
p.s. i will post a pic of the front when i get a chance........peace.

oliver,
You better put an extra dollar in the collection plate--many times! Happy to read You had no physicial damage. The '86 944 can be fixed. It will be the paint match that will cost from what I have recently read.
BTW-The link did not work for me.

N/A or Turbo fenders? I can probably help you with the n/a fenders, i think my friend has a set we dont need any more (switched to turbo front end).

Last night was really bad, i was out around midnight last night on Long Island and was frankly lucky i made it back home. I dont think anyone expected it to snow as hard as it did (Which wasnt even that much).. the main problem was really how everything iced over by 11pm. I saw quite a few people stuck on the side of the road.

front end damage

yea i'm not too worried about the paint scheme, i can get that and even have some buddies that can paint it for me,but you are right the paint process alone is going to run me a few bucks also, which will compound the financial issue. but i'm looking to get this done after the winter after all the snow and salt around spring. but thanks.

techno duck i've been wanting to do the same to my 944 (put on a turbo front end) but have'nt come across the parts to do so,question? is the mounting hardware on the non turbo the same as the turbo? how was your experience? and yes it was pretty ugly on the road last night, i was in my neighbors house last night watching the de la hoya fight.(got his butt kicked by the phillipine and lost) luckily i did'nt have to travel very far, just across the street. but yea here's my number 646 529 1237. i live by flushing meadows park by shea. like i said i'm not in a super rush to fix this front end but, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

The conversion is not bad for a post '85.5 car. The early cars are a bit more trouble because the nose panel is spot welded to the body in 20-30 spots.

You will need the following..

-turbo bumper bar
-turbo bumper cover
-turbo fenders
-turbo headlight covers
-turbo nose panel
-turbo headlight trim (front piece only)

And of course the other stuff like the turn signals and fog lamps. There are a few small things you need to do like splice the turn signal harness connectors, nothing that is too hard though.

Ill check this weekend to see if my friend still has the fenders for a n/a.

havent checked the parts section for a post of yours, but some there might have some answers for you too, hopefully cheap answers. Also what color is the car, maight be able to find the same color, and maybee not have to do a paint job?

Not to be a snob, but its" Filipino " Dont know why the start it with an F?

maybe you're right,is'nt spelled the phillipines?? anyway, the color of the car is the silver blue-ish.I don't know if they keep the post on indefinite, but you can see some repairs i did on it in the spring,i think the title was"blew timing belt on highway" yea the belt busted way out in L.I. and that cost a pretty penny.
