Angry Screwed over by many 944's for an ac compressor

On June 30 2009 I purchased an AC compressor from Nick Miller of Bennington Motorsports via the internet. I kept getting the run around in reference to shipping, and was told two weeks ago that the package was in Ohio and would be returned to his shop the same day. He then advised that he would inspect the package and send my AC Compressor ASAP. I have not heard from this guy since, I have sent several email messages with no reply. I then had to set up a claim to Paypal for refund of my money. I think that Nick has a damn problem and would WANT TO SEND ME MY F%^&N MONEY. DO YOU GET MY DRIFT?

I don't know Nick personally, but I wouldn't post information such as yours without proof. Right now, all your information is hearsay, which cannot be determined as fact. I've had my own run-in with someone on these forums, but felt it was a minor enough issue (money wise, mind you, not integrity related) that I kept it in private messages. Before I were to bash someone, which usually ends in one or both parties getting flakked for things untrue, I would post the emails, receipts (if any), etc.

Oh and BTW, unless you "Request Read Receipt" on emails, you cannot trust mail servers to deliver mail. If you never get a read receipt, either the email didn't make it or...MORE LIKELY, the person just simply doesn't want to reply to you. If only there was such a thing as "Request Delivery Receipt"....but oh well.

I do know that many944s is well-known on these forums, so unless you have proof of what has happened and supply that proof, no one is going to listen to you. They may not even listen to you if you do supply the information. It's the way of the world...who you know and etc, etc, etc.

Please note, I am not disregarding your post, just trying to offer a word of caution and advice.

While I have not bought any parts from Nick, I have received a compressor from him that someone else bought. It was intended to happen though, I rebuilt it and sent it on to purchaser, who is another pelican. I was surprised to see the compressor so quickly. In that transaction I was the slow guy. Maybe he got the compressor back and it was not suitable for sale, and if it's an early compressor, they are not easy to come by.

I have had many dealings with Nick and everything was top notch in terms of response time. He has always given me the impression of being very reliable and trustworthy. Hopefully everything gets worked out.

I bought a fog lamp from him about a month ago, showed up via priority mail maybe 2-3 days after I paypaled the funds... perfect transaction all around. Have you thought of picking up the phone and calling the guy?

I would wait a little while before jumping the gun. I've sent some packages that were 40 lbs through usps and it has took close to 25 days to deliver.

I would recommend giving him a call.

Wow, offense intended here, even though this is completely OFF-TOPIC. Here's the part that you obviously failed to understand:

Quote:

- I tried to make the part you failed to read as eye-catching as possible this time. If they read your email and you don't get a read receipt, that would mean either:

1. They use a sub-par mail client that doesn't support it.

OR, here's the catch...

2. They CLICKED "NO" WHEN ASKED TO SEND A READ RECEIPT.

I'm not kidding anyone. If the person clicks "No" (which, technically speaking here, can be turned on/off on nearly every enterprise-class mail server, but they usually leave it up to the end-user), that normally means they don't wish to acknowledge receipt of the emails. So, I just said the same thing I originally posted, but you chose to use selective reading. Stop bashing people, you only proved my original point. I'm tired of stupid posts bashing people for no reason from people that can't read. I don't know you personally, and I will leave it at that.

Since you know he frequents these boards, you could have posted a bit nicer first post to ask what the deal was before swooping in and s***ing in the punchbowl.

Just a thought.

Yet, you still don't post any relavant information regarding the transaction. You only say that you don't lie and don't know us? Sounds like a run-around so far.

Wow, I goto a race for a weekend, then take a week off to sell my house and suddenly I am dragged through the mud... Nice!

DJ- As I explained to you , I was waiting for the compressor to be shipped back to me so I could inspect it before re-shipping it to you (as it was temporarily lost by the PO) When it got here, I found that the box had indeed been damaged and cracked the port flange, and I emailed you to let you know that I was filing an insurance claim with the PO and would try to get your funds back to you ASAP.

Perhaps there was a lost email or something of the sort. I will get it all taken care of Monday morning.

To everyone else, thank-you for the support!

-Nick

Angry Whatever

You didn't email me period..I sent you several email messages, and called the contact number from paypal and left a message. It seems to me from an investigator standpoint you are full of S&^% or postal fraud. It takes no time if you are a business owner to refund my money, and I still don't see where the package addressed to Dallas TX ended up in Ohio. Maybe I will use what fake label number you gave me to see what's really going on. You have issues, and inconvenience me for nearly a month with it being hot as hell here in Texas, I am not trying to here it. It's just a quick click on paypal and my money would be back in my possession

I will keep everyone posted if I don't recieve my money. You are a joke
