Hep Me! Hep Me! Car will not start

For a 86 951.... Car will not start this morning. Battery is good and engine cranks solidly but doesn't even try to fire. Have pulled DME relay and jumped 87b and 30. I can hear this starting a number of electrical items but engine still cranks without firing. What else could be the issue?

Thx

Fuel Pump ???

Check the plugs and see if your getting a spark....if not there is you issue....if your getting spark next check the fuse/relay for the fuel pump if they are in order check the fuel pump and make sure it is working.

Don't take this the wrong way, but did you check to see if you have gas in the tank?....the Factory Fuel gauge are notoriously erratic as are all mechanical gauges after 25 years of use. Mine never shows more than 3/4 full...so I use my trip as a back-up.

It's running. Its the DME relay. George B (on another thread) instructed be to add #87 to the two (30 & 87b) I was jumping. That did the trick.

Thx to all for their input.
