'87 924s header issues

When I bought the car it had an after market header (as well as the rest of the exhaust system). I had the cat back replaced with stainless steel, but the aftermarket header that came with the car has cracked (horribly) at the flange where it meets the cat. Now, I would *love* to get a used set of OE exhaust manifolds and a Y-Pipe (ae or used, don't really want to drop $600+ on a new one) or if worse comes to worst another ae header. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions, pointers, etc... for me on this one.

Brick road and illusions bottomed me out*. The metal is very thin and my not hold the weld. If I have problems finding a decent solution I will still try that, but if the metal is so thin at this point I would prefer to replace it, since it sounds like an inevitability at this point.

*Luckily I was going slowly. It's an old brick road, it looked like a little bump, but the other side just wasn't there, the bricks where actually overhanging the pot hole. It made a very nasty sound.

You should be able to get a used OEM y-pipe and cast iron headers for around $60-$100 off of a parts car. Porsche 924/944/968 Used Parts For Sale & Wanted - Pelican Parts Technical BBS
Steel tube headers are worth a little more if you can find some that aren't cracked. The pre 88 tube headers are very prone to cracking in the Y part of the 1-4 section IIRC. They are much lighter and supposedly flow a little better than the cast.

I'm selling my stock manifold for $40 if you're interested. No Y pipe though sorry.
