balance shafts dont do a whole lot at idle speed; they are most noticeable at higher rpm. the shaking is definitely the motor mounts. also you can raise your idle speed to smooth it even more.

Idle is at 800-850 when i start been a while since I've checked it at normal temp As that's almost impossible bc I have a low temp thermostat and fan switch.
Anyways, so what you're saying is that if it was a really bad balance shaft issue like 180degrees off I would notice it at high rpm's as that's when it's at it's worst? |

if balance shafts are out of time then you will notice the vibration at most speeds because how the harmonics stack up. but when they are timed correctly you wouldnt notice them really doing much til around 3000ish+ rpm.
set idle to 950 or 1000 or so, it should smooth out noticeably |

Well that makes me feel better, Been a while since i have drivnen it but anything above 1000rpm it runs smooth. Haven driven the car in 6 months but even then 1000-4500 rpm it runs smooth.
I am afraid of a vacume leak wich i wil have to check. Anybody know what the PSI vaccume should be?

What do you think abotu this. I've been searching everywere and a similar idea came up. The car in the video is a turbo so i assume the vacuume hoses will handle more psi?
I was thinking maybe using 5-10 psi? YouTube - DIY - how to pressurize your 944 turbo intake system on a side note THE OAS tope tube does not require a hose fitting but i put one on a littel snug on mine is it commong to have a little what seems like oil sray around the top of the OAS?

Here's a new trick to smooth out the motor - try some Lucas Fuel Treatment next time you fill up. I tried it for the first time last weekend (after seeing this discussion), and it did smooth out the motor quite noticeably.
Don't get me wrong - I'll still be trying the idle adjustment trick, and I do still need to comb through my vacuum system, but the Lucas did really really help.

Well, Im sure the old gas in the car isen't helping, And it's sad as i just rebuilt/cleaned the injectors. Probly toss some seafoam in the tank instead as i have a bottle sitting right here.
And BTW the home made vacuum pressure tester i made with some soapy watter works great. Found a few vacuum leaks fixed most by tightening clamps but My aux air valve is leaking at the top were the harness conects Seems like a weird place and might be the cause of our Mysterious leaks as it was a very large vac leak

pulled off my Injector rail and j-boot to seal up some vacuum leak... and
HOLY GUACAMOLE. One of my injectors is leaking and was eating up the nice paint i put on it. And i just rebuilt the damm thing. Possibly another symptom of why my car was shakign?
