Need some serious help

Ive been working on my 944 for the last week or so trying to get it to run. I have tried everything and I just put a new computer in it.... nothing!

dme is good
Fuel pump is good, pushing 40lbs
fuel filter is good
DME relay is functioning, DME is getting juice
replaced the reference sensor (should I replace the speed sensor too?)
new spark plugs
new ignition coil
cap and rotor is perfect condition

I have no spark whatsoever. I can smell a little fuel when its cranking but it is a slight smell, so I doubt the injectors are pulsing either.

Any ideas? The wiring harness seems to be OK on a visual inspection.

OK,

You replaced the reference sensor.
DO you have the tach bounce 1/16" when you grind the starter?

Clean the AFM connection. (Copied from a new/recent post)
Does the AFM swing door move freely with no binding?

Did you check the resistance of BOTH sensors-old and new?
Speed and Reference Sensors - Checking, Replacement, and Adjustment

The pins on the flywheel, are they clean and not coated with oil?
Are they damaged? Pull the FW inspection plate under the car to check. (Front of the bell housing-bottom. 2 bolts)

Wiggle the big bundle of wires to the DME. It may have a bad connection to your new computer.

Check the wires to the DME:

(Everything I just suggested sounds very familiar, like I just did it a couple of minutes ago)

Figured out the problem, got messing with the wiring harness coming off the speed and reference sensors and found a few broken wires. Patched them together and she purrs like a kitten.

I was on my last leg here, I had already checked everything you had mentioned EXCEPT the wiring on the engine side of the sensors. Crazy how that works :P

Thanks for the help!
