I researched the issue Grandpa's 924S has and found the wires just needed to be swapped on the oil pressure sending unit.
Then I did it for him, gauge and oil light work properly now ![]() and ordering fuses, horn relay, and upper radiator hose.

strosek 944
Hi,
i buy a 944 for parts in oribble shape but with a decadent strosek kit that i made a few weeks to do new PET cast with new parts. The car has also a 931 front nose. I put it on my 944 with a 951 projct for future. Now i m happy with the result and can drink one beer.I must put some things on the car but is raining to us.... ![]() ![]() ![]()

Nice & congrats the car came out good with the turbo front end & the vented nose pannel.Looking at your garage you did put lot of work & time on it.How does it handle with 18" & what the tires size do you ride on.Now I know it's a question of taste but you should seriously think about a ROW rear pumper ,the car will look shorter with one & will also have a better stance.

Last weekend I replaced the sad-looking old coil with a new 'high-vibration' one from Lindsay Racing. Noticed an immediate improvement...
Changed the distributor cap and tried to change the rotor. But some PO from hell (see my sig!) had broken the old Allen bolt and replaced it with a normal bolt in some weird Imperial size (i.e. inches) that I can't seem to source here, in metric-land. Almost stripped it; ended up just cleaning the contacts and gave up till next weekend.

I thought coolant was a closed system and shouldn't dissipate... unless you leak?

Yesterday I partcipated in the autocross school run by the local SCCA region. It was cold (mid40's) and wet but I and the rest of the participants had a great time. I switched to all-season tires before I went after seeing the forcast was going to hold. Even doing so I broke the back end loose a few times. No spins for me though there were more than usual. Almost everyone hit the 3rd cone on one slalom to the point the base got ripped off it during the second session. It was fun and I learned more in the wet than I have in the dry.

Friends and I took out the leaky, heavy, power steering rack and installed a nice manual one in my 924S. We even seemed to get the alignment right as the car tracks perfectly. Big job but well worth it. If you try it make sure you have a stout gear puller for the tie rod bolts.
