Source for these carpet clips
I'm looking for a reasonably priced source for these carpet clips from the hatch area carpet. I am going to make the rounds of the FLAPS this weekend but if anyone knows of a cheap online source, hook a brother up. Color unimportant as I'm gonna paint them.

I just tried ordering the factory ones and they are no longer avail from Porsche, some companies may have the Porsche ones still around, so it would take a bit of calling around to the various places, but I just got some from auto atlanta , they are an aftermarket clip and look good, they have a smooth finish on the cap, so would be easy to give a light sanding and paint any color you like...they are I think $2.36 a piece, as compared to $6.00 for the Porsche ones. If your close to a NAPA they have carpet clips similar, experimented with 2 different ones, one was too big and one was just a hair to small and didn't go back to see if there was another one yet...

I've been looking too, always end up buying used ones that dont take long to break. Let us know what you find!

I always snag them from junk cars in the salvage yards, and ask members on the boards about buying them. They do break too easily though

I'm still on the quest for clips too... My poor carpet is hanging!

My local Ace Hardware stocks some that are close, but not quite tight enough. Next size up is too big. But they work better than nothing.

According to my cheap HF calipers the originals are 8mm. I eyeballed some "christmas tree" retainers as they are apparently called on my way home from work and they are too small. Being "frugal" and angry at wasting 5 bucks on nothing I heated them with a heat gun and pinched them with pliers so they are fatter one way. They now fit and hold fairly well but its still ghetto.
I believe this is what we really need. Its a close match, they even have the texture on the cap. https://www.belmetric.com/a145-plastic-retainer-p-789.html?cPath=12_178

Nice, that could be a good part. I just ended up buying three of the clips from Auto Atlanta, I'll try those out. The Line 24 didn't seem to fit well... but they were $5 for a 10 pack and I'm sure they're useful for something..
