Dash Width

Could someone do me a huge favor? I want to order some vinyl to recover my dash and my car is in the shop and I cannot measure the width. Could someone with a late model car measure the widest point of their dash for me?

Thank you

Ok, - 28*C out here with the windchill factor & my garage is not heated. But I still brave that sh"//**ty cold weather & when out & measure it. Widest is approx 12.5" wide so you'll need about 16"W x 60"L to do a good job.

Approximately 70 degrees here, couldn't find my tape measure though.

Dash is approximately 54 inches wide from A pillar to A pillar. The material I bought for my dash was 6 feet wide if I remember correctly.

thanks Ernie i appreciate your dedication. if you by any chance find yourself back out for some gad awful reason can you get the exact width left to right? the vinyl is sold by the yard and is 54" wide. was hoping that the 54" would be wide enough form side to side.

Better yet, sit by the fire with a beer and wait for the next helpful soul to chime in

Local "Fabric Depot" store. I can get you the part number, address, etc. and a closeup shot of the material later today when I get home for work.

Any updates? Wondering if anyone has attempted to use the 54" width for the dash.

I bought 3 yards from a standard roll of vinyl at hancock fabrics when I did my dash. It turned out to be plenty wide. I could actually cover another whole dash with the left overs. So I think 54" is wide enough. Btw, if you buy like 2 yards, it should be longer than 54 inches, length wise. At $16 per yard or less, it's cheap insurance to buy 2 yards.
