Dash Replacement

Spring is in the air and I THINK I'm going to bite the bullet and replace my dash with a finished unit from Classic9Leather. Not a cheap investment compared to the price of the car (87 944NA) itself. Any last minute input on price, other sources etc. would be welcome.

Assuming I'm going ahead with a self install of some kind, I'm looking for any tips and/or advice on what to replace, check out, add or whatever while I've got the old one out. I've got "how to's" for the removal and re-install but I'd like to only do this once and do it the right way.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I know there's a clip/bushing on one of the HVAC arms that you could replace with that out just in case... what a PITA to access for a small thing lol

Clark's Garage has a wonderful step-by-step process. I beleive Classic9 can give you the same document.

Patience and allowing time for the swap is a must.

Take pictures during the process.

I used wire markers and tagged connections .

Its a good time to change blubs that don't work.

Baggies for screws.

Beer in the fridge - after the work is done.

good luck!
