Custom 944 car sound build

I'm restoring my 88 924SE into a 1980 Carerra GT, and did a complete refurbish of the interior..was burgundy and now black, so scored some really nice used black parts for the interior, including some Porsche script door panels..I didn't want to cut them up for door speakers so I built these custom speaker enclosures for the doors, keeping the rear speakers in the same location, but got the 968 adapter plates for 6 1/2 speakers..for the subwoofer I found a frame for a 968 rear seat delete, didn't have the compartment doors..Putting an 8" sub with Kenwood 5 channel amp on the top of the compartment, and will build a custom cover to hide it--I've done this same set up on my 87 944 and it ROCKS!!!!!! The door speakers are Alpine 5 1/4 SPR 50 and rear SPR60, 8" Alpine sub and Kenwood Excelon 5 channel amp to power it up

Just thought I'd share my pics of how the panels came out and the rear seat delete box for the subwoofer...and the best part it's nearly all genuine Porsche parts..including the black carpet...I haven't cut the hole in top for the subwoofer the smaller holes are so I can see the bracketts that attach to the sides on the interior (seat belt bolt holes) when I was fitting it in..

i ended up giving up on the OEM location of the woofer, and moved it up front where it was in the 944. that did involve cutting into my door panels, which was quite nerve wracking, and i can appreciate not wanting to do that. i fought that battle for 9 years. as long as i was "going in", i also changed it to a JL Audio 6.5". now if i can just find a clean set of 968 map pockets, i can make the last modification (i don't care what color carpet as long as the plastic is free of nicks, marks, and dings).
