need someone to help me choose between the two...

I have a pair of cars that I am contemplating purchasing... they are both in the pelican classifieds and was wondering what you guys thought about them.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showthread.php?threadid=79830

additional info: I am in the process of getting a 911 and am
considering all offers for this unit, it's all stock
except for a weltmeister throttle response cam... I
have the gauges (not hooked up) and a DME performance
chip (15+ HP not installed either), it also has a CD
player (not installed)...if I am given the right offer
I will be including these items or just selling them
on eBay myself...you can also give me a call at home

additional info: This is a 1988, 944NA (not a turbo) with 113k miles. I bought it last
summer, and used it for a daily driver from July - Sept. It's always been
stored inside but does have some paint chips and a couple door dings. While
it's not a show car, it is a very respectable 944. The interior is clean and
in good condition. All power windows, locks and switches work. The guy I
bought it from club raced on occasion and as a result put in a full custom
roll cage. It has a K&N air filter, otherwise everything else is stock. When
he decided to get more serious about the racing deal, he bought a different
944 and turned it into a straight race car. I have all the parts he took out
of the race 944 and will include them as spares with mine (alternator, air
condenser, clutch plate, emissions parts, exhaust, steering rack, etc...). A
cage is worth anywhere from $300 - $1000+ if you bought it out of a catalog.
If I was keeping the car, I'd probably take it out and sell it. I've had
several offers from guys on the Porsche boards if I ever took it out.

The motor mounts have been updated to 951 mounts. The timing belt and
tensioner was replaced within the last 6k miles. A combination of business
travel, moves and weather have left the car in storage for most of this
summer. I just don't have room at the house for 2 cars or time to shuffle it
out of storage when it's practical. Here's what it needs...

1. I would probably give it a tune up if I was going to put "daily driver"
type miles on it. I'd do this myself but it's pretty reasonable if you take
it to a reputable garage.

2. As long as the hoods up check the timing belt tension. I'm sure it's
fine, but it's worth checking.

3.The hood shock(s) need to be replaced (hood doesn't stay up). ($25/per by
manufacturer or $9/per at Fleet Farm)

4. The sunroof works, but I could never get the whole thing to come off. It
lifts and opens by switch, but should completely remove and fit into a case
in the hatchback.

5. The air needs to be charged

6. Don't think the rear defrost/wiper works. I see there is a wire pulled
off at the edge of the window, but I haven't spent any time on it

SO, what do you guys, the "experts" think... car #1 has lower miles, but the complete info on #2 is more reassuring.

and is is actually possible to fix the rear defrost thing, or is it a "replace" job?

HELP!

I like the second one, it has more info. My sunroof doesn't disengage automatically, either, but if you CAREFULLY pry those little guys out, it comes off no problemo. Haynes manual has the procedure to fix the rear defroster fellas. This guy probably has documentation on when he last had the belt tightened. It's worth asking.
