WTB: A pair of turbos from nearly any turbocharged Porsche
Ok the time has come to find some turbos for my V8 VW Rabbit project.
After asking some questions and doing a little research several people have suggested that I find some of the k26 units or possibly the K24s that Porsche uses on many of there cars. I am looking for a pair. I don't really know all the specs on all the turbos available. All I know is that I need two matching units. I should not have to mention that I am an El cheapo maniac so I don't really want to spend $1000 on a pair of turbos. If they are functional "as is" great! If they are functional but could use a simple rebuild (whatever that means) that is ok too. If they are beat to death and will need a rebuild that is fine as long as they are dirt cheap. Can anyone help out? Last edited by vwhammer; 11-04-2008 at 05:34 PM.. |

Just a few questions? What car did they come from? Do you have any pics? Do they still have the little tags on them? Primarily I just need as much info as you have so I can try to find rebuild kits for them. Maybe just a pic of the little manufacturers info tag if they still have them. As far as purchasing them $200 sounds fair. I am picking up a transmission this weekend so I may have to wait until I get paid again before I can buy them. I may be able to put a small deposit on them if you would be willing to hold them for two weeks. I will just have to see what kind of money I have left after teh weekend. The bottom line is that I am definitely interested. |
