Looking for a needle in a haystack.... Anyone have a good/repairable set?

I was holding onto this in case I wanted to build a 3.0 liter using the 16 valve head, but I'm currently focused on an 8 valve build. So I'd be willing to sell my 968 head that has bent valves from a snapped belt. Nothing else wrong with it and it's 100% complete with the VarioCam. Just needs valves. $1,600.00 shipped. If you're interested send me a pm and I can provide pictures etc.

Thanks for the offer. The car I was looking at was sold before I could meet with the seller. (MSC, did you pick it up?).
So no need for the cams now, but thanks for offering! Keith

Nah, I called the guy and even went looked and talked to the mechanic that was servicing the car, but he never returned my e-mail. I guess somebody that picked it up has their hands full or is going to pay a boat load of money to get the car on the road.

The car was in Scottsdale at the dealer. I had most of the parts to fix, except the cams I allready sold. For that price I was willing to ship it to South Carolina and fix it, but Keith turned me on to the car. Was A conflict of interest. Otherwise it would be in my driveway. Hoped Keith would get it, but someone got a great deal if they had access to the parts.

I went up and took a look at it as well. It actually was pretty well sorted, other than the head/cams of course. Small oil leak on the transaxle, had a light hit on the rear bumper but fixed up decently, interior was good. Maybe some engine oil leaks but those would be fixed while doing the top end anyway.
I was to meet the guy on Sunday (Had a track day on Saturday ), but he never returned my calls/email over the weekend, and wrote back once into work on Tuesday that the car was sold on Monday (Holiday). He gets the L-O-S-E-R award in my book ![]() I was thinking to get the car for 3K, get a head/cam setup for ~1-1.5K, and then maybe another 1K of other stuff to make it right. Then you would have a nice S2 cab for ~5K: ![]() ![]()

You're welcome. That cab appears to have been a good deal.
