oil cooler cleaner
I'm in the process of replacing the oil cooler seals in my 86 turbo and need to clean the inside of the cooler before I replace the seals. It has a great deal of coolant "sludge". Do I just wipe it clean with a rag, or is there a better way.

Did you have milkshake?
If so, you'll need to clean out more than just the oil cooler. Most likely the entire cooling system (the oil system has much higher pressure than the cooling system, so oil tends to enter the cooling system). Flush the engine and radiator with water until all the glop comes out. That's what I did on a car I used to have with failed oil cooler seals anyway, and it worked fine. Messy and takes forever to flush the crud out though. EDIT - I think this belongs in the tech section, not the classifieds.
