Z06 Caliper Adapter Brackets/Big Brake Kit
I have been working on a design to adapt the C6 Z06 6 piston brake calipers to the 944. I have a design for the 944 and the 951. I'm going to have them waterjet cut. If anyone is interested in them, let me know. Price will be $100 a pair for the brackets and bolts needed. The early 944s will need some 1/4" spacers that will be another $10.
These are designed to run on the 350mm Cayenne rotors. These will also work on the early 928. I do not have a design for the late 928 yet. ![]()

Pretty cool! True engineering at it's finest. Now all you have to do is sand blast the calipers, repaint and put a "PORSCHE" sticker on there and Wah, La! Awesome. If I just didn't do my brake setup I would be very interested in this. Keep inventing!

GOOD JOB... alas u are just getting started... unless u replace the old school steel control arms with Aftermarket racing CA's and install MO30 hubs, spindles, and HD steering links... u got a massive problem when u smash on the brake petal at 150MPH?... U Think!

What size rims do you need to run to fit over them? Can you still run the Porsche bolt pattern?

You'll have that car standing on its front nose with that kind of stopping power!
The Cayenne rotors are cheap and easy to source. What about the calipers? Looks like you have to remove the caliper to replace the pads - true? |

I apologize for the delayed response. I thought I had this forum setup to receive emails when I got comments, I guess I didn't...
18" wheels are required for these. The Z06 calipers are actually quite a bit harder to obtain than I originally thought. Many sites list them in stock, but unfortunately, do not actually have them. The pads can be changed with the calipers on the car. But these calipers use 6 "padlets" each. There are available single pad kits, but they require removing the caliper to change. I am now working on another project to mount the C7 Z51 calipers (same as CTS and Camaro SS) on 358 Cayenne rotors. The brackets for these will also mount the smaller ATS Brembos on 330mm rotors for 17" wheels. The Z06 design is complete for 951 and 944s. I'm hoping the next kit will be easier to obtain calipers though. |

Parts are in! I have a couple sets of brackets for 951s and a couple sets for 944s. In addition I have the Cayenne rotor centering rings. The calipers are starting to appear in stock more again. Around $130-150 each plus core charge at most places.
