Its Back With Some Issues

I think they were a dealer installed option. They are a very well made, light, expensive wheel by a German company known for race wheels. No one likes the dated style of them anymore so they would be hard to sell. I like mine mostly because the offsets are perfect and gives my car a desired stance.

I guess what I am trying to say is that his Spark Plugs are not a consistent color. It looks like we have a Normal Color and a Couple Rich Colors. To me looks like Fuel issues. Since his Injectors are probably the original 30 year old ones, why not replace all of them with some brand new Inexpensive ones then move up the path. Could be his Fuel Distributor and/or little filters in the FD.

Yup, understand the CIS (Continuous) part and I am thinking even thought they are continuous, they still need pressure to push fuel through them. Take an old CIS Injector and try to blow through it. No go. Put a little Car Cleaner in it and put an Air Compressor behind it and walla, Carb Cleaner and you can see your Spray Pattern.

I was also running terrible with my Old Injectors and by pulling the plugs I noticed one was very clean. Turns out, the Injector was faulty and blocked. Hence why I was running on only 7 Cylinders.

Replace the 30 year Injectors/Seals and move up the Stream if it doesn't completely resolve the issue. FYI, go to A U T O H A U S A Z .com for those injectors. Cheapest place around and great service.

if you have spark leakage--you can try looking at the engine at night when it's running (sitting still of course).

if you have spark plug cables leaking, you'll see it.

also check the inside of your distributor cap--dirty cap = bad ignition. same goes for the rotor.....

still think you need to verify no vacuum leaks.

Can you list the common areas where vacuum leaks occur. I know the hose coming out of the brake booster is one.

Besides the Injectors, look at your Fuel Accumulator (known for hot start problems) for leaking. Do the Tune Up stuff (Plug, Wires, Cap and Rotor). Clean out all the small filters in the WUR and Fuel Distributor, then run the sheeit out of it.

do i disassemble the fuel accumulator? if so, where do i look and for what?

I never had to service mine but I think it's in the right rear wheel well in front of the tire. Behind the Panel. Check for leaks. There is no disassembly, if it's bad, it's replace time.

I would do tha accumalor last. I doubt this is your main problem. A bad accumalor like Dano says creates a "hot" start problem. once it starts it will build pressure and run normal. You have something else going on.

any ideas what this something else is? i know i have blow-by... oil comes out of the oil fill thing when i rev up the car in a spirited drive.

this is typical for a 16V engine.....there is no blocking plate under the oil fill canister, so the oil that slings off the crank goes right up to your oil fill canister and then gets sucked into the intake manifold.

it's really bad when you have broken rings or pistons---ask me how I know.....

Yup, when I had the whole top end off my Euro Engine, I bought one of those vented cover thingy boppers from 928 Motorsports. Problem solved.

It's very easy to install, but I really don't remember if something else needed to come off first. Remember, I did this with my whole Intake was off. Someone can chime in on this one.

yes please, if someone knows it would greatly be appreciated. this may stop oil from spraying out of the oil fill all over the engine!

Does not work very well .... Get a scrubber for it .
