Well the shroud is the hardest part. Is yours the H4 lamps? The standard ones here in the US use that chrome trim ring in front that hold the lamp in place. Not sure on the H4.

No -- mine are the European ones without a chrome ring.
I've got the plastic shroud off -- just 3 screws. I'm trying to figure out how the headlamp is connected to the holding mechanism. I see a couple of alignment screws and a few springs. just not sure what comes undone to free the head lamp from the assembly. Mike

This is a pic I pulled from another site. The headlights attach similarly. You can see a U shaped bracket ( black) and 4 Philips head screws that hold the assembly to the U bracket. At the bottom there is a snap in stud/ ball fitting that stabilizes the unit..that will pull straight out.

Wow that was easy!
Also note there is a connection on the bottom with a ball and socket that pops off. Not sure its function. Mike

Its just to stabilize I think. Help hold the light from shaking at speed and bumps. The 3 point rule as opposed to 2 points of contact..
