Parts List
Hey hey, can anyone point me at a parts list(the one with the actual order numbers? .. I find the search tool here pretty.. worthless.. unfortunately.
I know I've seen one here on one of these threads... I dropped the tank in my 82 928 today and want to purchase all new lines for it but the only schematic I have doesn't list the part name or number. Thanks! |

Use Pelicans link to take you to the Porsche Diagrams. Find your Year, you can then use the diagrams which point you to the part numbers.

Here :
Just download the Manual of your year then look up the part > next to it you well see the number > I suggest you also load the manual for the next years just past yours . for possible updating . like 80 to 82 and 83 to 86 Manuals then just save them to your hard drive . They are free |

What you really should do, though, is get the CD set from Roger Tyson at 928sRUS.
Its a compilation of technical documentation for the cars. Includes a PET diagram for Euro and for USA (even for 911, 914, 944, etc) Has the full WSM including easy to access wiring diagrams. But the big story is the technical documentation and WSM updates and special docuements like Electrical 928 training and Bosch fuel injection and automatic and manual transmssion repair documents that augment the workshop manuals (which have many weaknesses). Has recall letters and accumulations of technical alerts that were sent out that cover many of the issues we see, but aren't covered in the WSMs An enthusiast did a multiyear project to gather-up this information and scan it. Best $80 I've spent in the hobby. (no affiliation, though it sounds like a sales job) I rarely use the WSM. Just the wiring diagrams and all this auxilliary stuff.
