Skip the paint, or do it last.

You saying if i dont like the color thats on it, sell the car and buy one with the right color? I can already tell that i dont like it, because it is falling off. through to the metal a few pieces on the hatch, and it appears that it hit a deer on the passenger side, which would explain the broken windshield, and why the paint isnt on the fender.

My dad does pretty good paint work, and said that he wants to paint it, so i'll let him. It'll save me a bit of money. Once the paint is off, it wont be too hard to change it. I will change the color last, im just trying to decide for when i do change it.

The most expensive part of a 928 is the factory paint.

Its very hard to paint a 928 well. I'm no paint guy, so I can only guess its something to do with the 928 being made of about 1/3 urethane bumper, 1/3 aluminum, and 1/3 steel, but its VERY rare to see a nice looking repainted 928. Done right there are about $3k of rubber parts that should be removed and replaced when painting.

Some of the guys here are paint experts, talk to them before you get too deep.
