Intermittent - Headlight Slow to Turn On

Over the past couple months I had noticed the headlight were a little slow in lighting up sometimes. Lights would rotate into position, then it would take 2-3 seconds for them to turn on.

Couple weeks ago pulled out all the relays associated with the headlights, then plugged them back in. Problem went away.

After a 200 mile leg of our Xmas trip, noticed a delay in the lights turning on after rotating into the up position that night. Noticed the same thing on the return, and also after starting back up after a quick pit stop halfway back.

This last time, the lights popped up but didn't come on. Cycled the headlight switch, then after 3 seconds they came on for a split second then shut off. Cycled the switch again then they came on and stayed on.

Of the various headlight relays, which one should I be looking at first?

IV Headlight Safety Relay
XIII Highlight Relay
XIV Headlight Dimmer Relay
XVI Headlight Control Relay

Have you verified that your switch is good? We can pull the one off my Euro if you want to test it. Not that I will be driving my Euro for awhile

But then it must be working since it's energizing your headlights to go up. Anyways, let me know if you want to use my Switch.

Not sure if this will help, but take a look at this terminal and make sure it is clean. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-928-technical-forum/612433-79-head-lights-not-going-down-fix.html
