Yeah must not wanna sell em too bad..

That one says the same thing..

I'm going to wait until tomorrow to order them when I'm in a better mood and not rushed to get to class.. ^.-

82 Wiessach.
And you are going to buy CIS injectors?

Am having a glass of wine, but only one.... Guys, isn't the 82 an LJetronic car?

Can we revisit this before you plunk down the pecuniary?

I mean, I've got a set of LJet injectors from an 82 if you have to have replacements.

Am not yet convinced of that.

The richness situation is more likely due to needing a new oxygen sensor. When bad, the Ljet cars suck gas.

Have the engine grounds on the passenger cam cover been adjusted on this car?

Gonzotiki_666 03-13-2013 05:36 PM

My '81 is L jet so I'd guess Chris is correct!

MPDano 03-13-2013 05:54 PM

Uh oh, camo! Are your injectors the same as I pictured or do they have an electrical connector on them?

Also, I need the injector connectors and I cannot find them anywhere.. Any ideas?

Your Injectors are out. Please post a pic of one.

camo 03-13-2013 06:02 PM

I'm not home now, I didn't really look at the injectors, but I do know that there are electrical connectors the injectors came off of that need replaced on the car. If my math is correct, yes they do have electrical connections.

camo 03-13-2013 06:08 PM

I do believe it looked like this one, kind sir.

Can't upload picture from phone right now.. Sorry

MPDano 03-13-2013 06:15 PM

Dude? When you said you we're going to replace them with MB's, then I assume you meant the CIS since there are no MB electronic injectors for our cars. Send your L-Jet injectors to Witchhunter. Good catch Landseer!

camo 03-13-2013 06:19 PM

Sorry MPDano, I didn't know what CIS and L-jet was until today.. -.- I was going by what my neighbor said.. Anyway, thanks Landseer, saved me a couple hundred bucks! :D
Thank you too MPDano!

camo 03-13-2013 07:12 PM

If they're the original injectors, they have 126,XXX miles on em. Should I just replace em? Or clean em? Nothing wrong with em as far as I know... Besides getting 10 mpg..

Landseer 03-13-2013 07:59 PM

For now just use them.
If clogged, the car will run lean.
In my experience, that means it will run hot, high on the gauge.

Needs a new oxygen sensor.

Probably needs to have injectors removed for a different reason: new fuel hoses and injector-to-manifold O-rings.

BoiseShark 03-13-2013 10:26 PM

Agreed, good catch Landseer. Would have made for a very difficult install with very little hope of success. ;)

camo 03-14-2013 12:41 AM

And there's only 1 oxygen sensor per car right?

Landseer 03-14-2013 04:40 PM

Yes, I think the 82 uses a single wire sensor, bosch.
You can use newer ones with three wires, leaving the 2 heater wires disconnected I think.
Research Lambda sensors for more answers.

MPDano 03-14-2013 04:51 PM

I would actually just get the proper one since the connector will already be there. Pretty much plug n play. I got mine from 928 Intl.

Ok, thanks Landseer and MPDano.

So... A Few of my injectors seem to have small cracks.. Is this serious? I guess I'll find out when I have em cleaned..

Might be hard to see, its at the Top in the brown.

Will that effect functionality?

On the bright side.. My room smells like fuel..

This one might be a little easier to see..http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1363389506.jpg
