A/C Electric Cooling fan not working..what to do??
Hi,
I've got another 928S.....year model 1986. My a/c works but is not very cold at all. I just found out my electric cooling fan is not coming on at all......YET I know it works because I disconnected it and ran hot wire and ground to it......and it comes on fine! Fuse is fine...........I would greatly appreciate someone telling me the items between the cooling fan and the fuse I should check. I've turned on the a/c and tested to see if the fan comes on......and it never does! Thanks all!!!!! Greg Monday, July 21st, 2013 |

A lot can go wrong with AC system to not produce cold air, there are some good troubleshoots out there. My understanding is that the secondary or A/C fan does not always come on with activation of AC in our year car. Conceptually, if the engine (coolant temp.) is high enough it will kick on. The good news is that the secondary fan won't have any bearing on the temperature of air blowing into your cabin. Hope that helps, I also remember jumping the fan when I got my car because I had never seen the fan actually running. Dave.
