HVAC/Idle/Stalling Issue (1995)
Hi Pelican People,
I’ve already bothered other forums about this, but I’m trying to cast a wide net here. I live in Texas and we’re getting into those scorching summer months. My 1995 Porsche 911’s idle stays around 750 RPM, but it will drop to <500 RPM when the AC is turned on. Sometimes it’ll even die/stall when coming to a stop, but only when the AC is turned on. The previous owner installed some Fabspeed mods; removed the cats (O2 sensor still installed), Fabspeed exhaust, Fabspeed airbox cover, Cyntex performance chip. The car has a dual mass flywheel. What could cause this? What’s the most cost effective way to approach this problem? |

My 95 did the same thing a few years ago. I too have a fabspeed setup but with a Steve Wong chip. Took the ISV out and cleaned it. That cured my problem. Good place to start if you haven’t done it yet.

I would thoroughly clean the ISV (very easy) and then try to get your hands on a stock chip.
