964 and 993 Engine Questions

Hey everyone,

Need some answers for the following questions, thanks!

Engine idle speed?
Type of spark plug and gap?
Timing?
Valve clearance measurement?
Air filter model number?
oil filter model number?
fuel filter model number?

993

I need more info on the 964s and 993s. I have all the FWS manuels for the other models.

Might just have to do that soon!

Engine idle speed?
880 + or - 40rpm
1000 +- 50rpm on Turbo 3.3
950 +- 50rpm on Turbo 3.6

Type of spark plug and gap?
Bosch FR 5 DTC 0.8 + or - 0.1 mm

Timing?
0deg + or - 3deg at 880rpm on Turbo models

intake opens 4deg. bf TDC, intake close 56 deg. bf BDC, exhaust opens 44 deg. bf BDC, exhaust closes 4 deg. bf TDC on M64/01 & M64/02
intake opens 3 deg. bf TDC, intake closes 37 deg. bf BDC, exhaust opens 27 deg. bf BDC, exhaust close 5 deg. bf TDC on M30/69
intake opens 2 deg. bf TDC, intake closes 54 deg bf BDC, exhaust opens 43 deg bf BDC, exhaust closes 3 deg. bf TDC on M64/50

Valve clearance measurement?
intake 0.1mm (0.004in) exhaust same

Air filter model number?

oil filter model number?

fuel filter model number?

Engine idle speed? 800 rpm +/- 40
Type of spark plug and gap? Bosch FR 6 LDC 0.7 +/- 0.1 mm
Bosch FR 5 DTC
Beru 14 FR-5 DTU
Timing? 1 mm valve lift, zero clearance:
Intake opens: 1° BTDC
Intake closes: 60° ABDC
Exhaust opens: 45° BBDC
Exhaust closes: 6° ATDC
Valve clearance measurement? n/a - Hydraulic lash adjustment
Air filter model number? 993.110.327.00
oil filter model number? 993.107.203.03 & 993.207.201.02
fuel filter model number? 928.110.253.04

993 Turbo

Engine idle speed? 800 rpm +/- 40
with A/C on: 880 rpm +/- 20
Type of spark plug and gap? Bosch FR 6 LDC 0.7 +/- 0.1 mm
Beru 14 FR-6 LDU
Timing? 1 mm valve lift, zero clearance:
Intake opens: 12° BTDC
Intake closes: 117° BTDC
Exhaust opens: 124° ATDC
Exhaust closes: 5° ATDC
Valve clearance measurement? n/a - Hydraulic lash adjustment
Air filter model number? same?
