Look - my new Shifter & Boot 964
I finely got to install a new shifter and boot (the old one was worn and looked really ugly).
It is easy and possible (no one was able to tell me if the MOMO shiftknob will fit and what length boot I had to get), but requires some patience. And still I made some stupid mistakes. I was considering to actually cut the shift shaft 1 1/2 inches to have the knob a little lowered. But then this setup just feels so good that I will keep it this way for now. Let me know if anyone needs help removing the (damn) center console or getting the boot nicely fit at the bottom or anything else:

Good job. I don't care for the shifter though, so I voted "no".
