Does your 993 C4S need new front tyres every 8k miles?

I am going to look at a C4S and was warned about tires consumption from some one in the business, suggested that I will be looking at new front tires every 8k miles; would love to get that validated (or shot down) by any C4S owners here. Cheers, Rob | ||

Can't comment on the 8000 miles part, but every brand of tire is different. Also, when you do tires on an AWD car you SHOULD do all 4 at once. Not 2.

I run Hankook Ventus V12evos on mine. I got 8500 miles out of my rears. At that time I replaced the rears with the same and ran the second set 9500 miles. The fronts were just changed with the rears. Total mileage +/- 18000 miles total including 8 de days at NHMS, two de days at LRP and four de days at Sebring. I could probably have gotten a little longer out of the fronts based on tread depth but the they were pretty beat up looking at this point.

Nope, last well past 12K. Like most folks, rears (inner 1/2s) go long before fronts, usually 2 sets or rears to 1 front.
