WTB 3.4, 3.6 engine for a 996 C2, Tip

I think I need a new engine. Looking for a good 3.4 or preferably a 3.6 used or new. Anywhere else to look besides, Sunset, Suncoast, Parts Heaven, LA Dismantlers ,Flat 6 Innovations. Thanks for your help.

I really would not recommend getting a used one unless it is extremely low mileage and can be verified. Whatever you do, avoid LA Dismantlers. I once inquired on a supposedly rebuilt engine and when I asked who built it, the person replied that he cannot disclose that unless I pay for the engine first. Plus he told me first that it was factory new, then changed the story to factory rebuilt, then changed it again to rebuilt by a "factory trained" tech. How can you trust them if they cant even get their story straight? No thanks...

I agree!...........Stay away from LA Dismantlers!! I got ripped off by Todd Dakarman (the owner) years ago. I will NEVER use them again! I will obviously not recommend them either! I will happily pay more and buy from somewhere else if necessary............just to avoid them!!

There was a place down in Southern CA rebuilding these engines for $7000 exchange. I have no affiliation and I'm not sure how good their work is........So unfortunately I can't give any recommendation or feedback. However, their contact info is:

fax: 562 633 5962

If anyone has had experience, or heard of any feedback on this company........Please share!
